This Privacy Policy explains what data NyxSec collects when the bot or dashboard is used, why it's collected, and how it's handled.
1. Data We Collect
To provide security features, NyxSec processes the following data:

We do not read or store the content of messages beyond what's necessary to run detection at the time a message is sent, and we don't collect data from servers NyxSec hasn't been added to.
2. What We Don't Collect
- Direct messages between users
- Voice channel audio
- Payment information (handled entirely by Discord for any premium features)
3. How Data Is Used
Data is used strictly to operate NyxSec's protection, automation, and monitoring features described on our site — for example, matching join patterns against raid thresholds, or flagging known scam domains in messages.
4. Data Retention
Security logs and incident history are retained only as long as needed to provide moderators with useful history, or until a server removes NyxSec, at which point associated configuration and logs are scheduled for deletion.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell user data. Data is not shared with third parties except where required to operate core infrastructure (such as hosting providers) or where required by law.
6. Server Admin Responsibilities
Server owners and moderators who configure NyxSec are responsible for informing their members that a moderation bot is active, consistent with Discord's own guidelines on server transparency.
7. Your Rights
You can request removal of data associated with your user ID (outside of data required for active moderation actions like bans) by contacting us through our Discord server. Removing NyxSec from a server stops all further data collection for that server.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
